Workers' compensation5 rules ▾
- Minnesota law requires state and local licensing agencies to withhold license issuance/renewal until applicant presents acceptable workers' compensation insurance compliance evidence
- Employers must maintain valid workers' compensation policy at all times as required by law
- License will not be issued without completing workers' compensation insurance information (insured, self-insured, or exempt)
- Exemption allowed if no employees or employees not covered by workers' compensation law
- Must notify licensing agency by resubmitting form if workers' compensation policy is cancelled during license period
