Permit categories: Produce Vendor, Ice Cream Truck, Mobile Lunch Truck, Mobile Hot Truck. Fees: $200-$400/yr depending on type. Must schedule inspection 24hrs in advance with Sanitarian. Fire Marshal conducts separate code compliance inspection per International Fire Code.
Beginning July 1, 2026, Texas mobile food vendors are licensed by the State of Texas / DSHS under Health & Safety Code Chapter 437B.
