Local Operating Rules

Mobile food vehicle inspection required. Class III/IV units must be fully enclosed. Annual fire inspection. Contact Consumer Health for current requirements.

Beginning July 1, 2026, Texas mobile food vendors are licensed by the State of Texas / DSHS under Health & Safety Code Chapter 437B. Local jurisdictions may still enforce local laws that do not conflict with Chapter 437B, such as fire, zoning, parking, location, nuisance, or special-area rules where applicable.
