Local Operating Rules

Garland Fire Department inspection required (schedule at 972-781-7148). Dallas County HHS issues health permit (214-819-2115). Mobile unit must remain mobile at all times. City has designated Food Truck Park.

Beginning July 1, 2026, Texas mobile food vendors are licensed by the State of Texas / DSHS under Health & Safety Code Chapter 437B. Local jurisdictions may still enforce local laws that do not conflict with Chapter 437B, such as fire, zoning, parking, location, nuisance, or special-area rules where applicable.
