Local Operating Rules

Food establishment permit via city online portal. Fire safety inspections available through portal. Park events require separate Park Special Use Permit — food trucks only in approved park areas. Contact Planning & Development Services for standalone food truck location zoning.

Beginning July 1, 2026, Texas mobile food vendors are licensed by the State of Texas / DSHS under Health & Safety Code Chapter 437B. Local jurisdictions may still enforce local laws that do not conflict with Chapter 437B, such as fire, zoning, parking, location, nuisance, or special-area rules where applicable.
