Local Operating Rules
Fire Marshal inspection Tue/Thu 8:30-10:30 AM by appointment only. Current fire marshal sticker required to operate. Short-term $25 (up to 3 days, max 4/yr) or long-term $150/yr. MFEs not permitted everywhere — hosts must obtain permit. Vacant/undeveloped lots ineligible.
Beginning July 1, 2026, Texas mobile food vendors are licensed by the State of Texas / DSHS under Health & Safety Code Chapter 437B. Local jurisdictions may still enforce local laws that do not conflict with Chapter 437B, such as fire, zoning, parking, location, nuisance, or special-area rules where applicable.
