Local Operating Rules
Fire Marshal letter mandatory for new MFU permit applications. Retail Food Mobile permit: $258/yr (includes commissary fee) or $221/yr (restricted). Commissary authorization and daily log required. Beginning July 1, 2026, Texas mobile food vendors are licensed by the State of Texas / DSHS under Health & Safety Code Chapter 437B. Local jurisdictions may still enforce local laws that do not conflict with Chapter 437B, such as fire, zoning, parking, location, nuisance, or special-area rules where applicable.
