BiteBase, Inc. (“BiteBase,” “we,” “us”) operates bitebase.com and app.bitebase.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. What we collect

We never collect Social Security numbers. SSNs are not stored, logged, or written to our database under any circumstance.
2. How we use your data
- Operate your account and deliver the services you requested
- Generate permit applications on your behalf (vendor accounts)
- Communicate about your account, inquiries, or bookings
- Improve the platform based on aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to operate the service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing).
3. Third-party services
BiteBase uses the following third-party services that may process your data under their own privacy policies:
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Neon — database hosting
- Resend — transactional email
- Azure Blob Storage — document storage
4. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes (e.g., completed permit records).
5. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All traffic is encrypted via TLS. Database access is restricted to application servers. We do not store payment card numbers directly — payment processing is handled by third-party providers.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@bitebase.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
BiteBase is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of BiteBase after changes constitutes acceptance.
